Musical Webber uitgesteld

Vandaag liet Andrew Lloyd Webber op zijn weblog weten dat hij van plan is een sequel op The Phantom of the Opera te maken, en daardoor zijn project voor een musicaladaptatie van De meester en Margarita tenminste voor een tijd in de koelkast stopt.
"This does mean that I will have to let The Master and Margarita lie in peace for now. This is a project I love, but right now, it is hard to see it as a commercial musical and my dear and original directing muse, Stephen Pimlott, is no longer here to guide me toward other ideas. I need time to think, which is why I have decided to let the Master and his mistress rest for the time being", aldus Webber.
