A Closer Walk With Behemoth

Today we added to this website a page about the project A Closer Walk With Behemoth by the jazz musicians Joris Caluwaerts and Elko Blijweert which was performed for the first time in Antwerp in February 2019.

A quintet played a kind of tragicomic music theater. The pieces of music were interspersed with the story of three men meeting in a park in Moscow. They talk about the past, the present and the future, a saxophonist is decapitated by a tram as it was predicted, and there is a chase by a giant jazz cat.
