Władysław Kowalski died
October 30, 2017
Yesterday, the Polish actor Władysław Kowalski (1936-2017) died in Warsaw. He graduated from the National Theater School in Warsaw in 1959. He was subsequently connected to the Ateneum Theater, the Powszechny Theater and the Drama Theater Gustav Holoubek in Warsaw, and won several awards for his theater and film work.
In 2013, Kowalski became the face of a Polish campaign against homophobia, in which he appeared on posters with his gay son Jakub.
We will especially remember Władysław Kowalski from director Maciej Wojtyszko’s Polish television series Mistrz i Małgorzata from 1990, in which he played the role of the master.
