Meister und Margarita - A new German translation

On August 16, 2012, the publishing house Galiani from Berlin presented a new German translation of The Master and Margarita under the title Meister und Margarita. The translation was made by the Russian-German author Alexander Nitzberg, who was born in 1969 in Moscow, and moved to Dortmund (Germany) in 1980, where he studied German and Philosophy at the Goethe Gymnasium. He now lives in Vienna and is especially known for his translations of Russian futurists like Vladimir Mayakovsky.
The epilogue of this edition was provided by the German writer Felicitas Hoppe (°Hameln, 22/12/1960), who recently won the prestigious Georg Büchner Prize, one of the most important literary awards in the German language.
